Here’s another little Mushroom watercolor I did at the same time as the one I posted at the end of December. I had the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge during January, so I had to wait to post it so it didn’t get lost in the other paintings. I would of had to do a double posting and I don’t like to post more than one a day. I think this one is really fun! I love the bright yellow caps and how I made them into a little clump. Painting mushrooms reminds me of being a kid going to hikes looking for Morels when they started to pop up. Maybe that will be my next piece. A Morel would be fun to paint that’s for sure. Anyway back to the piece in this post. I need to go back and go over the black areas again. You can see some lighter colors through it in areas. The scanner also takes some of the vibrancy out of the piece when I scan them into my computer. I need to get a program to touch it up to bring it back to a more accurate color. I’m happy with it though and I like how I faded it to one side. I think it will make a cute postcard. Overall it’s a cute little quick painting. I’ll be doing more Mushroom’s in the future.
