Day seventeen of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. Today’s subject is a Rhododendron. Such a classic flower that makes me think of little cottages and old plantation homes. They are a very sculptural evergreen plant that really works with any landscape. They come in a variety of colors and I can’t wait to plant some on my one day property. I really like how this one turned out. There’s not a whole flower in there, just hints of a couple of the flowers that grow in clusters.
4″ by 4 1/2″ Acrylic on 140 lb watercolor paper.
Much love!!!
